How we came to be

Haywood Bass (pictured right)

Mr. Bass lived a wonderful life of 116 years with his family never having to enter a nursing home or facility. Long life is a blessing his family experienced with most elders living well into their nineties.  The founder of Taking Care Of Our Own is Mr. Bass' great grand-daugher.  Thanks to a strong personal foundation in his faith and the support of family he maintained some independence through his life’s journey even after several strokes.

We want to help everyone to live a long, loving and quality filled life.

THE FOUNDER

Delores McNair is known as a tireless volunteer and advocate for senior citizens and the impoverished.  She is a passionate, sincere servant committed to helping others.  It is her desire to live longer than her grandfather and retain her independence.  Thus she "sows seeds" every day to help others to keep their independence.  She is prominently respected by all she meets and loved for her sincere heart to help others.  She is the embodiment of a real lady with a large heart for everyone and almost every cause.
